We firmly believe in international travel as an interesting, fun, intimate and enriching experience, where one is confronted with new cultures, different languages, alternative ways of thinking, as well as splendid natural panoramas. All it takes to be propelled into the unfamiliar is a keen sense of curiosity, and an open and absorbent mind ready to question and understand, as well as to grow from a full-immersion experience. We also firmly believe that travel to a foreign country should be a safe, stress- and worry-free experience where one feels as comfortable and relaxed abroad as when traveling in one’s own country.

How do we accomplish this for our trips?

With integrity, passion and enthusiasm.
We do not sell any trips or destinations if we are not absolutely passionate about them, an we focus on the regions we know best. We envision how we would like to travel and the kind of journeys we would like to take. Then, extreme curiosity, enthusiasm, spirit of adventure, spontaneity and a playful attitude become the powerful engines that drive us and our outstanding local guides to creating and running a memorable vacation.

With quality and authenticity.
Nowadays, quantity and generic products seem to be the norm. We opt to offer less in number, but more in careful design and attention to the smallest details in order to provide a signature vacation. We explore regions yet to receive the recognition they deserve and which, like shrines, house the most exquisite treasures. We research distinct characteristics and unique activities for every one of our trips in order to provide an authentic experience. Of course, we can’t ignore those “not to be missed” classic journeys, where you venture into the magnificent beauty of world-renown regions. It is with the same driving force we mentioned before that we also discover the hidden nooks and special aspects of these more familiar places.

With intimacy and safety.
We like to travel in small groups of no more than twelve-fourteen people, and we encourage private parties of family or friends. We find that this fosters an incredible sense of intimacy and camaraderie among the participants, and it facilitates contact with the local people in the places we visit. All of our collaborators are professionals with years of experience behind them. They know the territory and never take chances or cut corners, keeping in mind at all times our clients’ well-being and safety.

With responsibility and awareness.
Nowadays, we hear or read about eco-travel and green-travel everywhere we turn, and for a good reason. However, we prefer to call it “Responsible Travel”. Responsibility towards the environment as well as the local people we visit, their culture and their customs. Where possible, we opt for public transportation for our transfers, such as trains and buses. When it’s not logistically feasible, local private companies provide the service, but the use of vehicles is kept to the essential minimum. Hiking and trekking follows official trails. Where possible, we patronize hotels that respect energy-efficiency standards; we support local restaurants recognized by the SlowFood movement (www.slowfood.com) for their commitment to sustainable farming and agriculture; we purchase locally grown produce and locally produced delicacies. We travel in small groups, minimizing the invasive impact when visiting remote locations or small villages, and we respect and adapt to the local culture and customs, not vice-versa.

And, finally, with a lot of fun.
We like to have fun researching and developing our trips. But, most of all, we like to have fun while traveling with you!!
